The rate of solar rotation is higher at its equator and decreasing towards the poles. Thus, in the equator of the Sun the day lasts about 25 earth days; To 45 solar latitude, is 28 days, and at its poles about 35 days.
On the surface of the Sun, appear the so-called sunspots that last a few days and are less hot areas of the surface of the star. These spots appear in cycles of 11 years and these cycles present a maximum and a minimum of spots, being the cause of electromagnetic disturbances in the earth, especially in the radio and tv communications.
