The first language of mankind must have been "signs", such as hand-to mouth, a gesture that denotes hunger.
Little by little they were structuring the "words" to describe things and even situations.
Then words came together to designate a course of action, such as the action of a hunt.
What constituted an enormous advance verbs in which a word expresses an action: Run ...
By separating human groups, the words were spoken differently and new vocabulary was added. That was the origin of languages.
