The doomsday clock

The doomsday clock or watch of the apocalypse, is a clock showing (symbolically), how many minutes remain to midnight, which represents the end of everything, at least with respect to the human race.

It is based on every technological breakthrough that represents a potential threat and irreversible ecological damage.

The idea originated with the development of the atomic bomb and began in 1947. The last correction was made in January 2015, it showed 5 minutes to midnight and was ahead of 3 minutes to midnight ...

To put it "in time" takes into account the threat of nuclear war, scientific developments, climate changes could cause irreparable damage.
