Our species is recent compared to the age of our planet Earth.
It is considered that the Earth is 4,470 million years, according to estimates in Cambridge in 2010.
Man (thinking being considered), evolved from a small apes who were called proconsuls (20,000  years). There were several links before the appearance of Australopithecus (manufactured stone tools).
Then, about 2.5 million years ago, Homo habilis appears (manufacturer also more finished stone tools), and a more developed brain (About 800 cc). He was of short stature (about 1.40 m). This homo habilis is considered by anthropologists as the first specimen of human thinking.
AC 130,000 years ago, Homo Sapiens Sapiens appeared About 40,000 years ago  the Cro-Magnon appeared until the current date. (The human brain today, is about 1195 cc and weighs 1.50 kg).
