How different from us are the animals?

Turtle Seychelles (taken from National Geographics)

All animals share four basic needs:
Feed.
Sleeping.
Reproduce.
Fend.
And we Who are we? Why are we here? Why do we exist? Where are we going?
Are existential questions we just separated from animals not interpellate about any of these issues ...
At the University of California has located a DNA sequence known as HAR1 is essentially identical in all mammals and presents only slight variations in each species, including us humans proud. This operation regulates the gene sequence of genes involved in the development of neurons involved in embryonic development and in the formation of the cerebral cortex.
After all, it seems that life on Earth is interconnected genetically.
