Memory levels

Memory, as we all know, is the ability to store, retain and recall information.
Our memory has several levels:
Immediate memory, is limited remember things very short period of time, sometimes a few minutes.
The short-term memory, information is not retained for a long time, it may be hours, days or months, depending on the interest you have for  the information.
The long-term memory can store much more
information, sometimes for life.

There is also talk of autobiographical memory (which remember personal events of our own lives); visual memory (based on visual perceptions), or topographic memory (which allows us to orient ourselves in space, recognize places, etc.).
Pathologies related to memory: Amnesia (loss of memory), or call Eidetic memory. This, commonly known as "photographic memory" is to recall images, sounds or objects with exaggerated precision.
The memory is only connections between neurons. We have to protect our neurons (We'll talk about this).
