Are there different human races?

It was a discussion in vogue until well into the twentieth century.

Today, thanks to research by anthropologists Franz Boas and later Claude Lévi-Strauss in the 60s, it has been the commitment to eliminate the word race to indicate differences in humans, and the word was adopted to distinguish differences ETHNICITY anthropological-cultural and regional and obviates the skin color or anatomical differences that caused discrimination and even genocide in previous centuries.

Regarding the belief that certain people (races) are more intelligent or less intelligent, it is clear that intelligence is not based on racial differences, but opportunities to study, to acquire knowledge.

In many countries the practice of classifying in races, has been ruled unconstitutional and a violation of human rights.
